Something Silly

Sometimes when I get bored, I'll play around with Microsoft Paint. I'm not much of an artist but I love to play with shapes. One afternoon, playing with ovals, I came up with this scene. Please be aware that no digital olives were injured in the making of this picture. Their counterparts in my fridge weren't quite as lucky.

Odd Mood

I'm in an odd mood. Here is a little doodle I did over lunch with Microsoft Paint. It's called the Tragic Tale of Ollie the Olive. Not sure why, but it made me laugh. Clearly I need my head examined. :-)

Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus

Since I started drawing again, I've felt a bit like a small child. I've been doing mostly free-hand drawing but today I spent my lunch hour having fun with Microsoft Paint. I started by drawing the cartoon tire and when I attached it to the bus, I knew I had to make it a tribute to one of my favorite children's books, Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus by Mo Willems. I've read enough interviews with Mo to know that he won't mind that I copied his character. It was a ton of fun and really simple. Which is exactly why it looks like a four year old did it!
